Mission Statement
It is our mission to honor God and parents while celebrating the growth and maturation of our children into young adulthood. This formal event is a celebration of another year of accomplishments through hard work and dedication to education.
About the formal
We welcome homeschool youth,
ages 13-18 yrs old, to attend this chaperoned formal dance.
We prayerfully believe that this formal event will extend warm congratulations as the school year ends, a time for fellowship among friends, and an opportunity to make new and
lasting connections.
There will be music, snacks, and modest dancing. The DJ will fill a decorated dance floor with music (pre-screened) and lights to create an atmosphere sure to engender fond memories.
We believe that children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. (Psalm 127:3)
Your help in making this event, which has been organized by a group of volunteers since 2016, a success by offering your support through ticket purchase, respecting the rules, and following the code of conduct is a huge step in ensuring future events become a reality!
We ask that you please:
Read over the event details on the website under “code of conduct” and “dress code.”
Register your student and follow up with payment.
Parents are encouraged to volunteer and can read more about their participatory role on the website under “volunteers.” The organizing committee for this event was formed for the sole purpose of creating a homeschool formal for homeschooled students ages 13-18.
We are comprised solely of volunteers.
If you have additional questions or comments, you can email the committee: SIHFcommittee@gmail.com. We will do our best to respond and provide additional details regarding the event.
